Get Home Safe's owner and operate smiles in the backseat of his 2003 Honda Element, containing the Risograph GR3750 that started it all. he smiles with his mouth open, mid sentence addressing the photographer, amy applegate.

What started as a fascination with underground comix and zine culture has morphed into a community building exercise and publishing project in the midwest.

Get Home Safe is a neurodivergent-run small press offering risograph, design, screen-printing, and more! The goal: build a physical, networked community through printmaking and direct funds toward up-and-coming neurodivergent artists seeking creative publishing opportunities.

Get Home Safe Press publishes Art Comix, Art Books, Zines, and chapbooks for weirdos by weirdos. Navigating the art market is hard, especially for neurodivergent folks. GHS Press aims to never take advantage of artists and always works collaboratively to ensure creators are proud of their vision and get the proceeds they earned. GHS Press also aims to publish only the coolest stuff.

Get Home Safe started as a phrase I got stuck on, a way of telling my friends I love them without making it weird. It became a bit of a meme among us. That sentiment carries us through everything we make. Whether you're looking to print some zines and posters or pitch us a comic book, we care and want to do what it takes to make sure your vision arrives at its destination safe and sound.
